Rules To Live By
Recently I’ve had a lot of time to myself and that generally means I’m thinking a lot. Things can range from things that have happened lately to the future and what changes I could make in my life style to be a better person or live a better life. I’ve generated a few rules or rather things I could to, that in the end, I hope will allow me to have a better life.
1. Enjoy life as if it was your last day.
2. Appreciate and be thankful of your friends, family and co-workers.
3. Consider each day you learn something a good day.
4. Continue paying your current bills on time and do not create unnecessary bills.
5. Use any extra money to pay off credit cards or other debts.
6. Go to the gym as often as possible – results will likely be favorable!
7. Live and keep a clean environment.
8. Eat healthy often (or as frequently as possible).
9. Work towards getting the dog you want.
10. Don’t mindlessly sit in front of the computer or surf the web. Use the computer for a purpose.
11. Always, if not most importantly, have fun. Or else what’s the point?!
I would like to try living by these rules as often as possible. I think if I focus on these I can live happily and successfully. You could even consider some of them goals. Does anyone else have little things they try or do live by?

Oh man, so many answers for this.
From Will Smith: success is purely based on hustle.

From Merlin Mann: focus on doing everything *better*.

Derek Sivers: ideas are a multplier of execution.

When you get stuck, try Oblique Strategies.

I actually wrote out a list of personal, financial and professional goals for 2010 and had forgotten about it until last night when I was cleaning the desk up. Remind me and I’ll show you what I wrote down (and tell you how on-track I am).

Haha, but these are other people’s answers to their lives. I have to have my own or it’s just not good! I dunno about Merlin Mann, he’s definitely got good advice, but some is far to complicated. I think something very important I learned from David Allen’s “Getting Things Done” is that you shouldn’t stress about the things you didn’t get done, but to feel accomplished with the things you were able to get done, you can always tackle what you missed another day. It may not be the exact quote, but it’s the jist of it.
I’ll definitely bother you about your list to see if I can steal any of your ideas wah haha :D
